Doula for your pregnancy and childbirth

Many things in life are not permanent, but your labour experience stays with you for life. That’s why having a positive experience is so important. Yet, 20% of women look back on their labour negatively, and for 2% of women, the experience is even considered traumatic. This is truly unfortunate. Especially because a negative labour experience often arises not so much from what happened, but from how it happened. You don’t always have control over what happens during childbirth—but you do have influence over how it happens.

During our doula support program, we provide you with detailed information about everything that can happen during your birth. Together, we explore how you can experience different birth scenarios with agency and birthing power, and how to stay flexible if things don’t go as expected. This way, we work together for both a healthy baby and a positive birth experience.

Doula support has proven benefits:

  • shorter labor

  • fewer cesarean sections

  • reduced need for pain relief

  • fewer assisted births

Two doula's - one team

At bevalkracht, you choose to offer doula support from two professionals. We guide you together and divide the preparatory sessions according to our knowledge, experience, and expertise. This way, you get both in-depth guidance and personal attention, exactly when you need it most.

In the lead-up to your birth, you’ll get to know both of us well. This builds confidence and calm as you approach labor, while allowing you to fully benefit from our combined medical, legal, and practical expertise.

During the on-call period (from 38 to 42 weeks), you will always know who is available for your birth. No surprises, just peace of mind. This ensures engaged, professional support from a strong and experienced doula team, exactly when it matters most.
